Chet Lloyd - Principal Safety & Risk Consultant

Chet Lloyd is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with more than 30 years of experience in safety, risk management, and emergency preparedness. Recently retired from nearly two decades as an OSHA Compliance Officer in the New York City metro area, Chet now serves as Principal Safety & Risk Consultant at Superior Safety Solutions. His career is marked by a multidisciplinary approach to occupational safety, blending regulatory insight, field supervision, and high-profile event planning.

During his tenure with OSHA, Chet conducted hundreds of investigations—including multiple-fatality and criminal cases—and served as Region 2’s Maritime Industry Subject Matter Expert. He also represented OSHA at the Maritime Advisory Committee in Washington, D.C., contributing to national policy discussions on industry safety.

Before his work with OSHA, Chet held senior safety roles with Washington Group and Raytheon Engineers on New Jersey Transit’s Hudson Bergen Light Rail Construction Project. His diverse safety consulting experience also includes major venues and events nationwide, such as the Orange Bowl, San Diego Sports Arena, Alpine Valley Music Theatre, and Guns N’ Roses stadium concerts. He has worked with municipalities, insurance carriers, and emergency response teams to ensure large-scale public safety and regulatory compliance.

Chet began his safety career in emergency medical services and remains an active Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He earned both his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the University of Illinois and is an OSHA Authorized Trainer for Construction and General Industry. His unmatched depth of field experience and regulatory knowledge make him a trusted advisor in high-risk industries, emergency response planning, and complex OSHA compliance matters.
